King Island Photography Safari

4 Days/3 Nights - 4WD GUIDED TOUR (In conjunction with Australian Photography Tours)

King Island guards the western entrance of Bass Strait. Half way between Mainland Australia and Tasmania.  No passport but you will be in another world.  With a reputation of gourmet products, beef, cheese, crayfish, abalone and the list goes on...but Australia’s best kept secret is a photographer’s haven.  Its geographic location has placed it as the Noah’s Ark of bird salvation. Fauna and Flora flourish in its temperate climate, a royal photographic experience.

WHERE IS LUNCH EATEN IAN?
Ken the reason we are not specific with lunch stops  is because our group can really get involved in one location for example the dolphins maybe herding fish at Martha Lavinia and the birds will be going off – You too won’t be thinking about lunch. We are flexible we carry our kitchen onboard. Sometimes it is on the beach; sometimes it is at the foot of the tallest lighthouse in the southern hemisphere and so on.

4. You will learn about the shipwreck history and photograph a wreck site and, of course there is a lot more to view through your camera lens.

5. Travelling the old stock route taking in Bob's lagoon, water birds, wild pheasants, peacocks and turkeys will add to your colourful library.

6. Tonight enjoy a relaxed dinner and an opportunity for a little Photoshop work with Ken before your night cap of port.

You will need more than one memory card on this Safari as you will use quite a lot of space here. The Forest will dazzle you with nature's sculptures.

3. Seal Rocks is the next stop and here you will learn the sad history of Australia's worst maritime disaster where 400 poor souls were lost; washed upon the shore. Daylight brought to the survivors the horror of the event.
